The Pikes Peak Institute of Music Bands

The Pikes Peak Institute of Music is made up of two community bands; the Gold Concert Band and the Swingmasters Jazz Band. Both bands are under the orchestration of current director, Raymond Bell.  Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursday mornings, using the facilities provided by Springs First Church. (Thank you Springs First Church for being so accommodating and welcoming of our music!)

We are located in Colorado Springs, CO with the unique purpose for musicians of all skills and ages to play and improve.  We provide a low-pressure, light hearted environment, with a principal value on community and relationships. You will experience the impact of music within this community, see the influence of a great director first hand, and be exposed to new and classic concert music. Community bands provide a variety of socialization with new people, networking, and encourage self-care. Through the years, many close friendships have developed because of people coming together to play an instrument. We invite you to come join the fun by contacting us.
